KAREN STATE- Karen National Union, KNU, Brigade (6), reportedly provided healthcare assistance and medical treatment to the people fleeing the war in Winray Township and Kyainseikgyi Township, Dupala District.
The Palain, Kalal Takontaing and Nang Thaing Tun villages in Winray Town have been attacked by heavy motor fire by junta troops since the end of last June and thus nearly 4,000 locals have been fleeing the war.
People fleeing the war are facing many difficulties including health needs, so food distribution activities and healthcare activities in current rainy season are assisted by KNU Brigade (6) members along with local NGOs and the Winraw War Refugee Assistance Team.
Recently, on July 27, CDM doctors and staff reportedly provide healthcare to the displaced persons with the assistance of the Winraw War Refugee Assistance Team and members of the District vice Commanding Office, No. (3) Military Region Sub-division (Southern Division J.O.C. )
KNU Dupala District Office also announced on July 27 that Free Burma Ranger team provided assistance and medical treatment to those in need, served nutritious food and in addition, organized good life plans for children, and encouraged people fleeing the war in the Kala Takontaing village of Winray Township.
In Dupala district, due to the clashes and the military firing of heavy weapons towards the villages, many locals are displaced and are in need of accommodation; rainproof shelters, taverns, blankets, mosquito nets, etc., as well as food rations and medicines.
The Deputy District Commanding Office No. (3) Military Region Subdivision( Southern Division J.O.C.) announced on July 10 that they have been providing bags of rice, oil, and instant noodle packages through the Win Roe Emergency Relief Committee (lower section) to the war refugees in the villages of Winray.
