MANDALAY DIVISION – According to the locals, the fascist junta council troops who were assigned to transport the rations to the junta council troops who were stationed in Thonesepay village, Madaya township, Mandalay division, commandeered two passenger boats from Mandalay port. At the moment, the passengers are being detained by the fascist junta council.
On the afternoon of October 2, the brutal junta troops commandeered Zin Yaw Aung boat and Theik Hti Aung boat which ferry passengers from Mayanchan port, Mandalay city to the villages in the Ayeyarwaddy river.
The leader of Madaya township Public Administration Organisation mentioned that “those junta council troops came to transport the rations. It was known that they (the junta council troops) are in Thonesepay village. There are also two passenger boats along with them.”
There are around 100 passengers on those boats which were commandeered by the fascist junta troops and most of them are women.
The locals said that the junta council troops forced the passenger boats to drive in front of the junta council’s water vessels carrying rations along Ayeyarwaddy river.
A local mentioned that “they (the junta council troops) commandeered the boats as they afraid of being attacked. At the moment, the passenger boats stop ferrying.”
