MAGWAY DIVISION – Residents told the media that Mr. Nay Lin Maung, who came to sell things at Ngahlaingdwin Mining market was accused of being a PDF supporter and tortured to death by the junta troops at the security gate to the west of Ngahlaingdwin Village.
On March 25, around 1:00 p.m., 19-year-old Mr. Nay Lin Maung from Ouk Hlaing Village, Salin Township, was arrested by terrorist soldiers on his way back home from the market. He was barely alive when released due to the junta torture and passed away at his home.
“The victim was released at 9:00 p.m. and he was already on the verge of death at the time of release. The junta did not allow him to be treated by the medical person from the nearby village,” said a resident.
When the victim’s family found out that he had been captured, they asked for help from their friends in Ngahlaingdwin Village and inquired about him. The terrorist army replied that they didn’t even touch him, but not soon after Mr. Nay Lin Maung was released, he passed away due to the injuries from torture, according to the local people.
