KACHIN STATE – It was reported that the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) carried out offensive attacks to capture the junta’s major base near Sinbo Town of Myitkyina Township, and the fights were raging also on April 27, according to a Kachin military source.
KIA reportedly carried out incessant offensive attacks to acquire the junta Infantry Battalion 141, after capturing Sinbo Town, and it was attacking again on April 26.
“Sinbo is not under complete control, and the fights were fierce,” said the military source.
KIA started Sinbo Town capturing battle in February, and acquired Sinbo Town on February 10, but have yet to seize Infantry Battalion 141 near the town and carried out offensive attacks again.
The details of the battle are still being confirmed with KIA’s spokesman Colonel Naw Bu.
