BAGO DIVISION – An official from 9 Stars UG, Bago said that a junta police officer, Kaythi Khaing, who was working on land confiscation in Nyaunglebin, was shot and killed.
On June 3rd, at 8:50 a.m., police officer Kaythi Khaing from Nyaunglebin town, Nyaunglebin District, Bago Division, was shot and killed on Red Muddy Road near Aye Ywa, village, west of Pyuntasa Town.
“During the firing with three 9 mm bullets, two hits in the back and one in the head killed her,” said an official from 9 Stars UG Bago.
The deceased police officer Kaythi Khaing was on duty at Nyaunglebin Police Station and her husband was a police officer at Deik Oo Township Police Station. Police officer Kaythi Khaing cooperated with the higher officials and exploited the people of Jopin Village and Thama village in Pyungtasa for profit. Htay Lwin, the father of Police Superintendent Kaythi Khaing, is bullying the people by confiscating agricultural lands. According to the people’s complaints, police Superintendent Kaythi Khaing has been cleared.
“It is known that the father and daughter illegally seized more than 500 acres of farmland together with their superiors and resold it. Her father Htay Lwin was given a gun and bullying the surrounding villages. He was not the head of the village nor the head of the 100 household, but Htay Lwin was also a powerful figure in the environment. As far as we are concerned, we will not discriminate between men and women even if the people indignant it. Those who are guilty will be punished severely and decisively. Now I hear that they are giving troubles to people,” explained the official of 9 Stars UG Bago.
