KACHIN STATE – Myohla KPDF (Kachin People’s Defence Force) announced on September 10 that three junta soldiers under Division 88 had surrendered to them.
The soldiers that surrendered are said to be Private Ya Wai Aung and Naing Lin Oo from infantry 78 and Private Zaw Min Htwe from infantry 437, two battalions under junta Division 88 active in Bhamo District, Kachin State.
“They didn’t bring weapons. We just know that they made a run for it on the route,” said a source close to Myohla KPDF.
Myohla KPDF, Battalion 5 of Kachin Independence Army (KIA) Brigade 8, said that the three are being taken care of in accordance with human dignity.
It was also mentioned that the three soldiers have been provided necessary support and help to return to their home towns.
Myohla KPDF invites more junta soldiers to join the Civil Disobedience Movement for the people, saying that they will take care of everything.
They also informed that those who surrendered with their weapons will be rewarded well.
Just recently, Lance Corporal Paul Nyein from junta infantry 77 under Division 88 surrendered to Myohla KPDF at Kyaukkyi Village battle in Shwegu Township.
