SAGAING DIVISION – The joint forces of terrorist junta army and junta-backed Pyu Saw Htee column that was attacked and suffered serious setback in Tamu, reportedly burned and destroyed the house of Commanding Officer, Tamu District Battalion (1), on the night of March 26.
“A total of 13 Pyu Saw Htee thugs and the fascist junta forces set fire to the house on the night of March 26. They provided security with guns. They burned the house because they lost in the fight,” said a local.
The People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) attacked the junta column, killing four Pyu Saw Htee thugs and injuring two terrorist junta soldiers.
PDFs combated the junta forces and Pyu Saw Htee militants stationed at Nant Hpa Long Ward in Tamu Town, while they were invading into Chauk Net Gyi Ward on the afternoon of March 25. It was said that four Pyu Saw Htee militants were killed, and two terrorist junta soldiers were injured, according to a person close to the Tamu People’s Defence Force.
On the night of March 25, the junta forces and Pyu Saw Htee militants burned and destroyed the house of the Commanding Officer, Tamu District Battalion (1).
Locals said that the fascist junta army can only be stationed in Tamu Town, but they equipped weapons to pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee thugs and Meitei rebel groups (who are called ‘Kathe’ in Burmese) and asked to guard the town.
