CHIN STATE – Due to the lack of medicine among the internally displaced people from Tonzang Township, Chin State, two people had died, as said by the responsible person of Tonzang Township People’s Administration Board.
Since May 15, because of the battles breaking out in Tonzang Township, over 10,000 people have been displaced and over half of them can’t return home yet.
The internally displaced people are currently facing the problem of medicine supplies running out and as a result, a 23-year-old man and a 90-year-old man were said to have died.
Currently, the internally displaced people, old aged people who have difficulties to meet the basic needs and the people with chronic illnesses in the township are being supported by Tonzang Township People’s Administration Board as much as they can, as said by the responsible person of Tonzang Township People’s Administration Board.
If the internally displaced people who have joined the Civil Disobedience Movement and the civilians are in need of help, they are informed to contact the CDM committee or through the page of Tonzang Township administration board, as announced by the responsible person of Tonzang Township People’s Administration Board.
