MYANMAR – The Karen National Union (KNU) Central announced two civilians from Lamintha Village and Gwaykone Village in Htantapin Township, Bago Division were killed by the terrorist junta army.
The heavy artillery fire of the terrorist junta forces on March 8 in Htantapin Township reportedly hit and killed 65 year old Mr. Thein Myint, a resident of Lamintha Village, Zayatgyi (South) Village Tract.
Then on March 18, junta terrorists raided Gwaykone Village also in Zayatgyi (South) Village Tract, abducted 70 year old Mr. Tin Saung, poured gasoline on him and burned him to death.
In addition, KNU Mutraw stated that the junta drones bombed the villages in Hpapun District, Karen State, causing thousands of civilians from three villages to flee their homes.
On March 20 from 5:30 a.m. till around 6 a.m., junta drones flew three times over Bawthta Village and the footpath in Maekalaw Village Tract, Butho Township, Mutraw District and dropped 27 grenades. Then later at 6:22 a.m., eight grenades were dropped into Sawkhalilo Village of Mahtaw Village Tract in Dwello Township.
Similarly between 5:30 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. on the same day, the terrorist junta forces were said to have dropped 74 grenades via drones into Htumawdae, Tadohta and Needohhta Villages in Bawtayhta Village Tract, Lutaw Township, Mutraw District.
Then junta drones dropped 63 more grenades into those three villages from 4:20 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. that evening while two junta helicopters reportedly airdropped rations to the junta troops at Thabukyoe at 4:23 p.m.
In addition, 50 grenades were reportedly dropped into Htumawdae, Tadohta and Needohhta Villages on March 19 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
As such, the terrorist junta council drones have dropped a total of 222 grenades in those two days and as a result, 1,251 civilians from Htumawdae, Tadohta and Needohhta Villages have fled their homes to safety.
