KARENNI STATE – It has been reported from Karenni military news sources that the Karenni coalition force seized several ammunition when conducting clearance operations in Demoso Township, Karenni State.
On Friday (September 1), junta sent reinforcement from Loikaw Township to Demoso Township via a convoy of over 40 military vehicles.
Karenni military news sources said that according to the scouts, there were 47 vehicles in the convoy. “They were likely reinforcements sent to the eastern part of Demoso. After that it would be towards Hpruso. They really want to control the Demoso-Hpruso Pyihtaungsu Highway. But they haven’t been able to occupy it yet and are losing troops on the ground so they sent more reinforcements.”
A member of Karenni coalition force said that they seized arsenals and military equipment when they cleared some areas in Demoso Township where there were battles against junta troops.
“60 mm grenades, land mines and there were also their baskets,” he added.
The junta council tried to station in Dawtamakyi and Dawngaykhu Villages by using five battaions in the middle of this year but were forced into retreat by the efforts of the Karenni coalition force.
However, Karenni army (KA) and Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) are still attacking against the junta troops stationed around the area of Tanilarlae and Kankhonnhasint in the eastern part of Demoso Township.
