SHAN STATE – According to a front-line source of TNLA, after the TNLA attacked and captured the junta council’s Sakhan Thit Kone (the New Camp Hill) camp in Namkham Township, there is no military camp left in Namkham and the TNLA has taken full control of Namkham.
On the night of December 18th, after the TNLA captured the military council’s Sakhan Thit Kone camp, the TNLA raised their army’s flag in Namkham. In and out of the city, including downtown Namkham, TNLA soldiers have taken security in the old army camps. The TNLA flag was hoisted in the center of the town.
TNLA started attacking Namkham town on October 27th as the 1027 operation. On October 27th, around 4:00 a.m., PSLF/TNLA attacked and captured the 13 mile army camp on the Namkham-Namphat road in Namkham township, the 12 Mile Camp and the Man Mai Camp (Microwave Tower Camp). On October 31st, they said that they had captured the camp of the Junta Council of Kant Kaw hill in Namkham Township. At 2:15 p.m. on November 3rd, PSLF/TNLA attacked and captured Warot Army Camp of the Junta Council in Namkham Township and 2 Military Council Army Camps near Hteinkan village.
It is learned that the PSLF/TNLA attacked and captured the following camps of the terrorist army. On November 5th at 6:00 in the morning, Junta Council’s Man Win Camp in Mai Wee Village Group, Namkham Township, Namkham Police Station, the terrorist army’s camp in Manpugyi village were captured.
Also, starting from the night of November 6th, Ta’ang Army PSLF/TNLA launched an attack on the junta council army and militia joint forces that were hiding in the courtyard of temple in the center of Namkham. The terrorist army group have been completely cleared in 5:45 a.m. on November 7th.
It is reported that PSLF/TNLA captured the terrorist army’s Tarkon camp in Naung In village from Namkham township on November 16th, at 10:50 a.m.
On December 19th, TNLA captured the last remaining Sakhan Thit camp of the junta council army, took control of the entire town of Namkham, hoisted the TNLA flag, and captured the city.
“There is only one camp, the Sakhan Thit camp left to be captured in Namkham. Now there is no military camp anymore. There is nothing related to the junta council in Namkham,” said a front-line source of the TNLA.
