MON STATE – Ye township People Defense Force (PDF) issued a statement on June 15 saying that starting from June 15 the travellers who use the road must follow the rules by PDF as Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and its alliance forces are going to conduct the new territory occupation.
27 battalions of Karen National Union (KNU) bridge 6 headquarters issued the similar rules for the travellers to follow who use Mawlamyine-Mudon-Thanbyuzayat-Ye-Dawei-Myeik road, since five days ago.
Ye People’s Defense Organization (PDO) mentioned that the junta council troops used to disguise themselves as civilians and passed through the highway road to move its troops.
So, the revolutionary forces urged the travellers not to carry junta council troops or their weapons on the vehicle and not to travel along with the junta council vehicles.
It was stated in the statement that if the ambulance would travel during the night time, they (revolutionary forces) appealed to drive the vehicle with their windows down and not to drive more than 80 kilometers per hour. They will allow to go to the hospital but won’t allow to drive back overnight.
Moreover, they also requested that if the revolutionary forces stopped and inspected the vehicle, to accept peacefully.
Thayetchaung township PDO has urged the civilians not to use Myeik – Dawei road section in Thayetchaung township, Tanintharyi division, after 9 p.m. Myeik district battalion 1 also issued not to travel after 7 p.m. as the battle situations are intensified in Palaw township.
