MAGWAY DIVISION- A soldier from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) reportedly had fallen in an attack on a military council outpost in Pakokku on Sunday morning (May 26), the PLA reported.
The PLA soldier Tun Naing was hit by a bullet while attacking the Military Council outpost in the southwest village of Phalam-O with the allied forces.
“Comrade Tun Naing was hit in the head by the enemy bullet while retreating. He reported to his comrades on the walkie-talkie that he had been hit, and he was okay. When his comrades tried to help him and carry him on a stretcher, he passed away on the way.”
It was reported that during the attack on the junta camp at Phalam-O village, a large number of military council troops came as reinforcement and the revolutionary joint forces had to retreat. The fallen PLA member was shot while he was covering fire for the retreating allies.
On April 25th, another PLA soldier, Thwin Htoo Aung (aka Bio), who was fighting alongside the Arakan Army (AA), had fallen in a battle at Ann Township, Rakhine State.
During Operation 1027, the PLA fought jointly with the three Northern Brotherhood Alliance Forces during the battles. In addition, PLA soldiers are also fighting in the revolution battles across Sagaing Division.
