SHAN STATE (SOUTH) – Since the junta army has entered and stationed in the village and monastery of Pindaya Township, local residents are afraid.
After the announcement of Danu People’s Liberation Front – DPLF has been formed, the junta troops are being deployed in the villages and inspections become stricter.
On July 30, a military council force of more than 30 soldiers entered and deployed in Myazedi Village of Pindaya Township.
“Now they have entered into monastery and using as a fortified place. They also started patrolling the villages. Local residents are not able to do farming properly since the army has been doing those. People are afraid to visit monasteries even on special days. Civilians feel insecure only after the junta army enters the region. We are living in fear,” said a local resident.
The residents said that the people dare not go out at night, and no longer visiting each other’s houses after the fascist army soldiers have been deployed in the village.
“They are the ones who can cause trouble for no reason, so I’m afraid. If they find reasons and get abducted, they may or may not release and you would get into trouble,” another local added.
The locals do not wish the junta soldiers to be stationing long and it is not yet known how long the junta council’s army will be stationed in Myazedi Village.
Myazedi Village of Pindaya Township is a place where tea and coffee are grown and inhabited by Danu ethnic groups.
