CHIN STATE – The junta council’s Paletwa regional military operations commander, Brigadier General Zin Myo Swe, who has been trying to evade arrest was captured on Friday (January 12) morning, according to front line sources of the Arakan Army (AA).
“He was trying to run away from Paletwa and was captured. He is the commander of Military Operations Command 19, South East Command,” said the source.
The source did not disclose details regarding the capture of Brigadier General Zin Myo Swe.
Brigadier General Zin Myo Swe is said to have joined the military in 1993 and is a graduate of Cadet Batch 23. He was originally from Ahlone Township, Yangon and had graduated with a major in history. He reportedly served under light infantry battalion 18 and is a father of two.
