TANINTHARYI DIVISION – Locals reported that a civilian woman was injured after the junta council troops dropped a total of six grenades on Kyaungneint Village in Palaw Township using drones at around 7:30 a.m. on Monday (June 5) without any battles happening.
The woman in her 50s, resident of Kyaungneint Village, was said to have received a wound in the head. “The grenades exploded at the same time. That woman was out shopping when she was injured,” described a resident.
The injured woman is reportedly receiving medical treatment at the moment.
In addition, it was also reported that junta infantry battalion 285 fired four rounds of heavy artillery into Kyaungneint Village later that morning.
The terrorist junta forces had similarly used drones to drop grenades into Kyaungneint Village at the end of May but there were luckily no casualties.
It is said that the junta council troops frequently shell and launch drone-dropped grenades into the villages in Palaw Township.
