RAKHINE STATE- Local people said that almost the entire village was damaged in Win Kyun Kalar Chaung village, Pauktaw Township, Rakhine State, due to the Mocha Cyclone on May 14 at noon.
The monk, Ashin NanDaw Bartha said, “The monastery, Dharma building, dining room, pagoda, and school were damaged. Among the 220 households, 200 were damaged in the village.
“The ancient historical Kan Gyi Pyin Pagoda was damaged due to the cyclone, and the food and rice were also destroyed. Emergency food is needed at the moment”, the villagers said.
The monk continued that almost the entire village was damaged in Nat Chaung old village, Mrauk U township, Rakhine State, due to the Mocha cyclone and local people are facing difficulties in the shelter.
The monastery, Dharma building, schools, and households in the village were damaged due to the Mocha cyclone that hit on May 14, at noon.
The monk continued by saying that old village there are around 160 households in Nat Chaung, among which only a few are left without damage and no one was injured.
