BAGO DIVISION – Paungde People’s Defense (PPDF) reported on June 4 that a military council informant in Paungde Township, Western part of Bago, had been shot dead.
The fifty-year-old Mr.Myint Aung of Thitpoke Village group, Thitpoke Village, Paungde Township, was shot at his home on June 2 at around 7:00 p.m. and reportedly died on the spot.
“He has been a junta informant since the coup, so we shot him three times. It was reported that he was cremated yesterday in the presence of his family,” said the information officer of the 3601 PPDF Battalion.
This shooting was carried out by the Pyay District People’s Defense Force Battalion 3601 PPDF, Division (1) (Saungkho Nghat) and the Pauk Khaung PDF.
Mr. Myint Aung, together with the military council soldiers caused all kinds of suffering to the people, and reported the news of the revolutionary forces to the junta council, forcing the families of the revolutionaries out of the village. In addition, he showed junta forces the minefields planted by the revolutionary forces and acted as a guide for them, according to the statement.
In addition, the public was also warned in the statement not to give information to the military council.
Last June 1, at around 1:30 p.m., the 40-strong military council unit marched from (Kyogone Village Group) Magyisan village towards Theingone village, were intercepted and attacked with small and large weapons near Pyingyi village and Kyaukgyi valley by the Pyay People’s Defense Force Batattlion-3601.
