BAGO DIVISION- Military council troops are trying to infiltrate the townships bordering the Bago Mountain Range (Bago Yoma) region, revolutionary news sources told the media.
The neighboring townships of Bago Roma include Kyauktaga Township in the eastern part of Bago Division, and Latpadan, Minhla, Oakpho, Kyopinkauk, and Paungde Townships in the west.
“There are about 80 forces in Latpadan Township. Last night (June 5), about 40 junta forces stormed into a village near Bago Yoma. Another 40 troops arrived the next morning. There is also a column on the Oakpho Township. It is also reported a column is marching from on the eastern side of Minhla Township,” said a company commander of a revolutionary unit based in Bago Yoma.
There is a military tension between the revolutionary forces and the junta forces coming to Bago Yoma region. Although there are some recent military activities, the details are not known yet.
The military council army, which arrived in Bago Yoma Region from Kyogone Village Group on June 1st with a force of about 40, was intercepted and attacked twice by landmines on the same day dared not climb the mountain and go forward and instead retreated, reported a local defense force.
Similarly, the Military Council Army operating in Kyauktagar Township of the eastern Bago Division was attacked for 4 consecutive days, from May 26 to May 29, on the Myo Chaung-Sein Kantlant cross-road.
In addition, at least ten residents from some villages on the Myo Chaung-Sein Kantlant cross-road have been arrested as (local) guides and killed by the Military Council.
