BAGO DIVISION – It is reported that the junta council army bombarded the area around the town of Pe Nwe Kone, Kyauktaga Township, Nyaunglebin District, with two fighter planes and cut the phone lines and internet lines as well.
On December 27, when the revolutionary forces began to attack and occupy the town of Natthankwin, the junta council army started firing heavy weapons at the city of Pe Nwe Kone. Local people say that the bombings by airplanes are being carried out continuously.
Then on December 29, the battle took place near the village of Thae Kaw in the east of Pe Nwe Kone, with the junta council army. Therefore, the 307th Battalion of the junta council fired with multiple launching rocket systems at the place where the battle took place and where the people live. The fighter jets also bombed around the town of Pe Nwe Kone, and heavy weapons fell and exploded in the villages of Thae Kaw, Kyaung Soe and Hteintaw. All people including the residents of Pe Nwe Kone fled to safe places. Local people say that the terrorist war council has also cut phone and internet lines.
“There was a battle in the village of Thae Kaw, east of Pe Nwe Kone. So, the 307th Battalion of the junta council fired continuously with a series of missiles. Phone lines and mobile internet have been cut. Bombs were continuously dropped by two aircraft. The villages of Thae Kaw, Kyaung Soe and Hteintaw were targeted by heavy weapons, and the people of Pe Nwe Kone were forced to evacuate. Two jet fighters were dropping bombs,” said a local resident.
The town of Pe Nwe Kone is located on the Nathankwin – Kyaukgyi road. Currently, the people of Pe Nwe Kone are under bombardment by the army’s aircraft and shooting with heavy weapons. It is learned that all the people from the surrounding villages have fled.
