MYANMAR – The terrorist military council is sending youths forcibly recruited by the law of non-military service to the front lines all over the country after 1st batch of military training course, without informing their parents.
On June 28th, military service batch 1 graduation ceremonies were held nationwide, and thousands of soldiers were sent to frontlines in Lashio, Northern Shan State, Pyin Oo Lwin, Loikaw, Sittwe, Myitkyina, Falam, Kalay, Hpa-an. The parents and relatives of the new soldiers said that they were not informed about such postings.
“The new soldiers who graduated from training yesterday have already been sent to front-line operation areas in sealed cars. The parents are not informed either. That’s why my son has been sent to Shan North, Lashio. Even so, I found out from the phone that he got while on the road. My son told me that some of his friends sent to Falam, some were sent to Hpa-an, some to Kawkareik, some were sent to Loikaw. He said that they only let him know on the way without saying where he was being sent. They were sent immediately after the training. Asking to go to the frontline. They said that they will not send the battalions head quarter,” a parent of a new recruit said.
Some of the parents of new recruits echoed this statement and said that they did not know where their sons were sent by the junta council.
In April, the War on Terrorism Council opened a 1st batch military training course and forcibly recruited thousands of young people from all over Myanmar as new soldiers.
