RAKHINE STATE – The Arakan Army (AA) announced on Wednesday (April 3) that they have increased their offensive in order to completely capture all junta bases and headquarters in Buthitaung, Maungdaw and Myaybon.
AA informed that they are maintaining their offensives on the headquarters of junta light infantry battalion (LIB) 564, under Military Operations Command (MOC) 15, in Buthitaung Township, Tawhein Taung Strategic Base under MOC 5 in Ann Township as well as several military camps in the area and Maungtaw Kyein Chaung border camps.
The Arakan Army began its offensive on the headquarters of junta LIB 564 in Buthitaung on April 1. Similarly, they launched an attack on the point 257 camp of the terrorist junta council, located around 1,500 meters away from Sanhyin Village in Myaybon Township starting around 6:20 a.m. on April 2 and it is said that the battle is intense.
Said point 257 camp is No. 3 Strategic Base under MOC 5 and the junta council has been desperately defending with airstrikes.
The Arakan Army is also continuing its attacks on Maungtaw Kyein Chaung camp without pause and the confrontation between the two sides remains strong.
In addition, at 3:05 p.m. on March 31, AA battled against the terrorist junta forces for around an hour at the mountain ranges located around 1.4 km west of Lone Village in Ann Township where at least four junta soldiers were witnessed to have been killed in action.
