SHAN STATE (SOUTH) – During the battles between the PNLA and the junta council forces in Hopong, Minepon, Loilem and Namsang townships, the junta side reportedly committed airstrike, resulting in the electricity cut off in Namsang Township as the electricity tower has been bombarded.
The junta council force continuously bombarded Lwewotot Village, Minepon Township and the electricity supply tower near the village was destroyed on February 28. Another tower between Minepon and Loilem was also damaged and the electricity has been cut off in some townships.
The locals have to use electric engines since there is no electricity and only a small amount of fuel is left in towns, according to an information source.
The fuel supply trucks from Taunggyi are not able to arrive as the junta council soldiers have blocked the Taunggyi-Tachileik Road and thereby, Namsang and Loilem townships have almost run out of fuel.
The junta council has been conducting airstrikes against Lwewotot Village since February 24, destroying eight houses and electricity supply.
