SAGAING DIVISION – The junta council has been launching an offensive at Kani Township despite Cyclone Mocha affecting, said an official of Kyauk Lone Gyi (KLG) Brigade.
On Friday (May 12), when Cyclone Mocha started, about 150 junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htees from Ban Bwae Village, Yinmarbin Township, raided Kani Township and murdered a 4-year-old boy, 8-year-old girl, and one adult at the field between Ban Bwae (Pyu) and Twin Villages. Also, on May 13, they also murdered an 18-year-old girl.
“We carried out a rescue operation at one village. Now, the junta soldiers are near Thamin Chan Village. It’s raining heavily, and some adults are ill. It’s too difficult because it’s raining continuously,” said an official of KLG Brigade.
Despite heavy rain, over 5,000 civilians from Twin, Chaung Ma, Le Shay, Yakan Tine, Min Ma, Thint Win, Thamin Chan, Mu Daw, Ngar Phyat, Pan Sai, Taze Chaung, Nyaung Pin Won, and War Dan Villages are fleeing due to the junta terrorists’ offensive.
