MANDALAY DIVISION – According to the locals, the revolutionary forces were surrounding the junta council’s Kyatpyin police station to raid and gave the evacuation time for the civilians in the western part of Mogok township, Mandalay division.
Until the morning of June 27, the revolutionary forces were surrounding the Kyatpyin police station to raid and the junta council police were in the police station. The revolutionary forces asked the junta police to surrender and gave time for the civilians who lived near the police station to evaluate.
A local civilian mentioned that “there is not much strength in Kyatpyin police station since before. The junta council troops were stationed in the woods near Shwe Myin Win monastery, Aye Zedi (military hill) and a place between Masoeyein monastery and Shwe Myin Win monastery. The revolutionary forces asked the houses near those places to evacuate for the sake of the civilians. The nearby houses were moving out until 12 p.m.”
It has been reported that TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army) managed to capture Daw Nan Kyi mountain military camp, tactical hill military camp, Pan Thapyay and Phyu Raung Kone military camp hills in Mogok township, on June 26.
