MANDALAY DIVISION – The revolutionary forces leading by Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) attacked police station at western part of Mogok Township, and revolutionary comrades were seen approaching near the police station, local residents of Mogok reported.
Fighting broke out at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday (June 26) staring from western Mogok, Daw Nang Kyi Hill, then the revolutionary forces condemned the junta council’s police station. The fighting was intense with heavy and small weapons, and the revolutionary comrades were seen entering the vicinity of the police station at western Mogok.
“There is a lot of noise with gunshots near the police station at western Mogok. It’s now past 1 p.m. and the junta air force’s planes are also hovering. The situation is getting worse. The fighting is still going on. The battle ground spreads even into the Mogok Town. The people are trapped and still don’t know where to run,” said a local resident.
The gunshots were reportedly heard around Kyatpyin Market, near the Hospital, Shwe Myin Won monastery, near Myo Oo Lwin, and the fighting is also taking place near Kyauk Phar Aung Sattkyar petrol station.
Some residents of Mogok said they heard that TNLA troops had captured the military council camp in Daw Nang Kyi Hill at western Mogok.
