SHAN STATE -A refugee center near Moebyae Town, southern Shan State, was attacked by junta air strikes with no prior clash, followed by heavy shelling causing damage to the homes and few casualties of the residents, according to a member of a PDF.
One of the refugee centers in Moebyae was bombed by the junta air force at about 9:30 p.m., and then at 2 a.m., there was the firing of heavy weapons, said the aforementioned comrade. “There were about 15 to 16 firings with strong, heavy weapons. The military dogs were just firing despite the absence of clashes in the area. The reason for not starting a clash from our side is because there are nearby villages where there are homes of the relatives of the displaced people with whom they live, ” said the comrade.
The above attacks wounded at least two citizens, as per one resident.
Moebyae resident stated, “As far as I know, there were two injured citizens, and there was damage to a few homes. The injured persons are being evacuated presently, and the details are not yet known.”
It has also been learned that junta troops are being distributed in Moebyae Town and are abducting and killing the citizens.
Moebyae PDF Company Shwe Lin Yone has reminded people to abstain from using the Moebyae-Peking Road as there could be continuous skirmishes that may become more intense in the Moebyae region.
