MANDALAY DIVISION – A CDM school teacher from Amarapura township who re-shared the news of the attack on the military evacuation camp near Laiza on Facebook, was abducted by the junta council’s army.
The teacher reposted the news about Mon Lai Khet posted by a news agency on her Facebook page, and the army came and abducted her at her home on the evening of October 12th.
A close person, who did not want to be named for security reasons, said, “They came to the teacher’s home and abducted her because of the news shared on Facebook that the teacher is a CDMer and selling hot pot.”
Another source said that the teacher posted the message so that only her friends could see it, but the army supporters found out and contacted her by pretending like ordering the hot pot, then came and abducted her.
According to the Data For Myanmar group, more than 1,300 people have been abducted after the military coup From February 2021 to the end of September 2023, for posting information related to the coup army on Facebook, TikTok and Telegram social media pages, and most of them are Facebook users.
