SAGAING DIVISION – In Mawlu Town, Indaw Township, which was seized by the revolutionary forces, the public administration system has been launching.
An official of the Public Administration Body (PAB) said that for the public administration system to operate, the town maintenance committee has been formed in cooperation with relevant organizations after discussions.
“The main concern is the town’s security. Appointed officers from the relevant organizations should cooperate with the locals (volunteers) selected by each ward,” said the official of Public Administration.
The Public Security Force also reportedly conducted patrols so that the homes of people fleeing the war would not be broken into and interrogations of suspects to prevent thefts.
It is known that the revolutionary forces are taking the necessary measures since junta military columns can come to attack Mawlu town at any time.
According to residents of Mawlu town, the shops are closed and locals are fleeing the war.

Not many shops have opened yet, and people are moving their belongings as they were afraid that houses and shops would be burned down (during raids and war),” said a resident.
