KACHIN STATE – A KIA front-line source said that the KIA attacked and captured the headquarters of the 141st Battalion in Sinbo, Myitkyina Township and that many terrorist soldiers were killed.
The KIA started attacking the 141st Battalion of the junta council in Sinbo in Myitkyina Township, on February 10th. But the assault on the camp was intermittent. After that, the KIA attacked the 141st Infantry Battalion in a well-prepared follow-up attack.
“The Sinbo camp has already been cleared, but the area has not yet been cleared. The people in the camp are fighting to the death. They are not running. Many of them died. We may also seize weapons. We will be able to say for sure after the area is cleared. We have captured it. There are also casualties on our side,” the KIA source said.
Since March 7th, the KIA has attacked military council camps in Kachin state and has captured more than 70 military camps so far.
