THAILAND – Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said today that the conflict going on in Myanmar will not be allowed to reach Thai soil, and the warplanes of the Military Council will not be allowed to fly in Thai airspace.
During a meeting with reporters this morning, he made the above comment regarding the questions about the Thai-Myanmar border.
Thailand will not accept any kind of conflict or attack reaching Thailand. The airspace of Thailand will not be allowed to be used by warplanes of the junta council. It was said that the Thai military and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been sent clear instructions and messages. The Thai Prime Minister said that what is happening in Myanmar is a domestic problem.
They are conducting patrols in Thailand’s airspace and do not want tensions to arise with neighboring Myanmar. He said that 100,000 Burmese refugees will be accepted and the current situation is being reviewed.
