MYANMAR – The National Unity Government (NUG) has reported on September 22 that a third of Myanmar’s population is in need of emergency humanitarian assistance due to the atrocious junta created man-made disasters.
The genocidal junta council has banned and controlled the international humanitarian aids supported to the people in need in Myanmar. The affected people have not accessed the humanitarian assistance, which were destroyed, banned and disturbed. The NUG has strongly condemned those inhuman acts of the terrorist junta council.
The NUG statement states that the junta council has been deliberately committing terrorist acts against the people without fully respecting the five ASEAN common agreements and UN Security Council Resolution No. 2669.
The NUG also reported that more than 75,000 civilians’ houses were destroyed during junta’s arson attacks, over 4,500 civilians have been slaughtered by murderous junta forces, while 3,900 were injured, and more than 1.9 million of people had forced to leave their homes during two and a half years since military coup until mid-August 2023.
Moreover, there are more than 24,000 people forcibly abducted by the brutal junta council. A total of 19,460 people are currently under illegal abduction, 4,078 people have been killed and 146 people have been sentenced to death, according to the statement.
