TANINTHARYI DIVISION – Locals reported that junta appointed hundred-households administrator and his two lackeys were shot and killed at Thetkeikyin Village of Myeik Township.
On May 3, at about 8 p.m., an armed group entered the administrator’s house and arrested him and two of his followers, who were collecting population census, claiming to be for the junta council’s illegal election in Thetkeikyin Village. Gun shots were heard from the other side of the village and dead bodies were reportedly found at dawn on the next day.
“A total of 3 junta council members were killed, the administrator and two followers who were collecting the household list for junta’s election. The armed group went up to the house and arrested them. They were taken to the other side of the village by boat, and we heard gunshots later. It must be around 9 p.m. The youths from village found the bodies on next morning when they were running away from village since about 50 terrorist council’s soldiers and militias Pyu Saw Htee arrived to the village,” a local resident explained.
About 50 junta thugs came to the village since their lackey administrator and two followers were shot and killed. The young guys from the village had to flee to avoid the terrorist troops. It is not yet known which organization took action against the terrorist council appointed administrator and his two followers.
