MYANMAR- With Operation 1027, the military framework has expanded, and Guerrilla warfare is about to reach the stage of Urban Warfare, due to the nature of war, people’s lives, homes, and property may be damaged. So, the National Unity Government (NUG) published the (Do and Don’t), points to be followed and avoided by the people in urban areas.
The Ministry of Women, Youth, and Children Affairs, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, and the People’s Protection and Support Forces issued a 19-point list of “Wings for the People” on November 2 to do and don’t facts during the war.
It is also said that by following these guidelines, people will be able to protect their families properly.
On October 27, the Three Brotherhood Alliances attacked military junta council camps in northeastern Shan State with “Operation 1027” at the same time. On the 7th day of the operation, about 100 junta camps and four cities were seized. KIA is also taking over the main military bases of the military junta council in Kachin State. Meanwhile, in Sagaing, in Htigyaing Township, as well as Operation 1027, KIA, AA, and PDF are attacking the military council.
On November 3, in Sagaing Division, in townships such as Kawlin, Khambu, Kanbalu, Ayardaw, Kyun Hla, and Kale, the revolutionary troops attacked the military council junta council and started taking over the town. Also in Karen State, clashes broke out on November 2 in Kawkareik and Kyar In. Seik Gyi townships.
Due to the nature of war, people’s lives, homes, and property are damaged (collateral damages).
To minimize damage, people should properly follow the 19 points of Dos and Don’ts that the NUG recommends.
