KAREN STATE – The terrorist junta forces carried out offensive attacks near Yar Do Village in Thandaunggyi Township, causing the fights with the anti-junta Resistance Fighters, at around 2:00 p.m., on August 9, according to a combatant.
“The junta council reinforced its soldiers. It was estimated that there were around 60 fascist junta forces. The fighting lasted for 45 minutes. One of the Revolutionary Forces fell during the fight, while two others were injured,” he said.
He continued that the junta also suffered casualties, but it was impossible to confirm how many died due to the dense forest.
The terrorist junta forces fired with Howitzers and 79mm mortar shells, and also made aerial reconnaissance around the battleground, but no bombings.
The Revolutionary Forces had attempted to capture Yar Do (Ka Lay Hta) outpost on July 11, but they were unable to capture it due to the junta’s reinforcements and insufficient ammunition, and the fighting had been ongoing at the reporting time.
