MYANMAR – The Junta Council has received the first shipment of two Russian-made Su-30 fighter jets, told the Minister of Industry Mr. Charlie Than to the Russian state news agency (RIA).
“Two jets have been delivered,” stated the Minister Charlie Than.
Russia and Myanmar reportedly signed an agreement in 2022 September to deliver six Su-30 SME fighter jets. Minister Charlie Than said that some more agreements would be signed at the Eastern Economic Forum, including the development of tourism between the countries.
Since 2018, the Junta Council signed a contract for purchasing Su-30 fighter jets.
