YANGON DIVISION – Locals stated that there were bomb explosions between construction gate and top traffic light in Hlaing Tharyar Township.
The first bomb exploded at 5:27 A.M. on June 7, two bombs exploded at 5:42 A.M. and another two reportedly exploded at 5:52 P.M.
In 6th Ward of Eastern Hlaing Tharyar, there were three times of bomb explosions near CB bank which is located at Yangon-Pathein Road, twice in front of the bank within the bush and another one about 100 feet away from the first one, according to a local resident.
“Since early morning, there were local thugs with knives going around in military vehicles. Please be careful when you come this direction as there are many checking. Although they were explosions heard, there is no news of casualty. These people are at the end of every road in every ward. The Phyu Saw Htees are patrolling while carrying knives,” said the above local.
In addition, there were two explosions at 7:45 A.M. and 8:02 A.M. which were performed by Urban Ground Fighting Force and it is known that it is a warning for the military council to show them that they cannot govern Hlaing Tharyar Township at all.
