SAGAING DIVISION – In Wet Let Township, more than 10,000 residents who have been fleeing the war for more than two months because the terrorist army raided and torched the villages along the Mandalay-Myitkyina rail road, are in need of food, shelter and medical assistance.
The junta council army has been using force to repair the railway track in Wetlet Township for more than four months to send military supplies, and because the army is burning villages, over 10,000 residents from more than ten villages have been forced to flee, according to an official of Wetlet Township’s support team.
“We need food and shelter for war refugees. There are also people who are sick, because of the climate change. They also need medical help. Medicine is currently being bought themselves. We also need blankets.”
In the southeast of Wet Let District, Htanggyi Ywama Village, Htanggyi Station, Paukkan Ywama Village, Paukkan Station, and Kugong Village were burned by the terrorist army, and it is reported that those fleeing from the war from the Thone Hsint Kan, Thauk Yay Kan, Kugong, Wetlu Ai, Thalai and Yone Thar Villages still cannot return to their homes.
At present, the junta army is still repairing the train tracks, and the junta forces are stationed in Thone Hsint Kan, Wetlu Ai, Thalai and Yone Thar Villages.
