SAGAING DIVISION – The family and friends of some of the victims said that the terrorist junta army shot some motorists who parked overnight, shopkeepers and passengers at the 5-mile gate between Kawlin and Wuntho Township, and published false news calling them PDF.
On the night of December 27, the motorists who were staying overnight at the 5-mile gate between Kawlin and Wuntho, some shopkeepers and passengers were abducted by the junta council’s army and killed. After that, the junta council claimed they have captured PDF members and took photos after placing guns and hand-made mortars next to the bodies then published the propaganda.
“Last night (December 27), at the 5-mile gate between Kawlin and Wuntho, at the restaurant where the cars spend the night, the junta forces woke up both the people taking a layover and the shopkeepers while they were sleeping and shot them all dead. My friend Ko Aung Gyi, an earth excavator driver, was also shot,” said a resident of Wuntho.
At least ten people were shot and killed by the terrorist army and they stole money and valuables such as watches, wallets, motorcycles and cars from the victims.
In the junta’s press release, it was described that they found 14 PDF corpses along with three hand-made mortars, six 40 mm grenades, 352 M-22 bullets, one M-22 cartridge case, five icon devices, three green uniforms with PDF logo, six guerrilla backpacks, five motorcycles and one car in Wuntho Township.
