SAGAING DIVISION – It has been reported that thousands of locals fled today (August 6) at 6 a.m. because junta troops invaded Saythu village, beside the Chindwin River, in Yinmarbin Township, Sagaing Division.
The locals said that junta troops invaded from the Aungzaya veteran ward near Shwe Taung Oo, along Yargyi- Kalay road, to carry wood in the Saythu wood field.
They invaded Sonechaung and Patainpyin villages. There were also clashes with people’s defense forces at about 7 a.m. near Patainpyin village. It has been reported by the locals that the junta is invaded by many forces, not only the ground column but also the waterway column. Because of that, thousands of civilians from 10 villages, such as Sonechaung Village, Saythu Village, Kyatshar Village, Patainpyin Village, Thanbo Village, Hnawpin Village, Innpat Village, Thanpayarpinyoetawtike Village, Innphyar Village, and Kyaukmaw Village, fled.
And they added that the junta also invaded on July 31 to carry wood from the Saythu village wood field.
