SAGAING DIVISION – Some members of the Main Strike Force (Kalay Township) stated that their activities are halted as some members were detained by junta troops.
As the number of strike force members is small and junta troops have been targeting and watching their activities through hidden sentries and patrols, they temporarily stopped activities, stated a strike force member.
“We did stage protests for some days after some of our members were detained. But we are concerned about our members at the interrogation centers and also because we are short of members, we decided to halt our activities,” said a member of Kalay Main Strike Force.
The Strike Force member Mr. Than Soe Oo, Mr. Myo Ko Win, Ms. Hnin San, and Ms. Kyin Deik Kim were reportedly arrested by the junta patrol during their Revolution Thingyan Strike on April 16.
Kalay Main Strike Force has been resisting the junta regime and staging protests, without absence, for 800 days since the coup.
