TANINTHARYI DIVISION – According to the locals, the local civilians have been forced to flee as the fascist junta council troops conducted aerial bombardments over the civilians’ places near Pedet village, Thayetchaung township, and Tanintharyi division.
Since the morning of May 5, the battles have been fierce between the revolutionary forces and the junta council troops near Pedet village, Thayetchaung township. During the battle, the junta council used aerial reinforcement and bombarded the civilians’ places. Therefore, the locals have been forced to flee.
It has been reported that the revolutionary forces have attacked the junta council troops who were stationed at Pedet village pagoda hill and the battles have breaking out until now.
A local mentioned that “the battles are currently breaking out between the revolutionary forces and the junta council troops who were stationed at the Pedet village pagoda hill. The fascist junta council has conducted aerial bombardments not only over the battlefield but also over the nearby villages. The junta council firing weapon shellings didn’t land over Pedet village, the shellings landed over Tagundaing village. The villagers from Tagundaing village have already fled.”
