SAGAING DIVISION – Thousands of Khin Oo residents had to flee overnight because of the ground offensives by the terrorist army, said local residents.
The terrorist army column, which had spent the night between Khin U Township’s northeastern Yawk Thwar Lay Village and Hta Nhaung Gaing Lay Village on July 2, is reported to have entered the forest foothills north of Kulalu Lay Village on foot at 9:33 p.m. on July 3.
Due to the terrorist army’s nighttime invasion, more than 3,000 residents of Shalwin, Hta Nhaung Gain Gyi, Hta Nhaung Gaing Lay and Yawk Thwar Lay Villages including villagers already hiding in the woods had to flee.
Among them, the elderly people, mothers and young children, including recently delivered mothers, are fleeing from the danger amongst the insects and snakes overnight without light, reported Khin U Township Fact Check Team.
On July 1 of last year, one local resident of Kuon Taing Village was killed by a snake bite while fleeing the war.
Therefore, Khin U Township Fact Check Team has issued a warning to local residents who are fleeing from the terrorist army to be aware of the greater danger of poisonous animals and to avoid areas that are reachable by the junta army’s heavy weapons.
