MYANAMR – The National Unity Government (NUG) has been collaborating with the Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (ERO) to convoy and sheltered in liberated areas for the young people who want to elude due to the conscription law of terrorist junta regime, according to Mr. Nay Phone Latt, spokesperson of Prime Minister’s Office of NUG.
It was said that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (MOHADM) of NUG has been organizing such assistance programme.
“Due to the Military Council’s forced conscription law, there have been around 15,000 inquiries to NUG in a month period, from March 30 to April 30 and the majority of those questioned are men,” said Mr. Nay Phone Latt.
The spokesperson said that the ministry had been collaborating with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) under NUG for the people who want to join People’s Defence Force (PDF), as well as coordinating with EROs for the people who want to shelter in liberated areas.
“The NUG is connected with the Telegram Hot Line to communicate directly with the people,” he said.
Most of the inquirers are the men between 18 to 35 years old, and also their parents and relatives. The Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (ERO) has been helping hands in such activities for the youth.
“In addition, the young people who don’t become to attack the civilians, can contact People’s Embrace, after being recruited by the junta,” he continued.
