SAGAING DIVISION – The military head office of PDF (People Defense Force) under MOD (Ministry of Defense) of NUG (National Unity Government) stated on June 29 that the revolutionary forces managed to capture the junta council’s Nantthar village military camp which was under the control of a captain-rank officer, in Indaw township, Katha district, Sagaing division. 14 junta council troops from the infantry battalion 14 under division 77 were stationed in that camp.
During 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. on June 28, the alliance of KIA (Kachin Independence Army), Katha district PDF battalion 2, and Indaw township People Defense Organisation (PDO) under the command of no. 1 military region managed to capture the junta council camp.
It was stated in the statement that β14 dead bodies of the junta council troops, including a captain, were found.β
It was also stated that βthe revolutionary forces managed to confiscate 20 various weapons, one counter-drone weapon, 9492 various bullets, 42 various grenades, 41 various cartridges, 12 walkie-talkies, one interceptor, one power station, 11 helmets, and 41 rice bags.β
It was known that two fighter jets that left the junta council’s Tada-U air force were reinforced and two revolutionary comrades were injured (not severely).
