KAREN STATE – Junta council soldiers conducted arson attacks and abducted three civilians in Mone Township, Nyaung Lay Pin District, within the KNU Brigade – 3 controlled area in the Kawthoolei Administrative Region.
On September 14, junta troops initiated an offensive in Nga Htwy Sote Village in the KNU-Mone Township Region.
While junta soldiers were raiding the village, eight civilians remained. Despite their attempts to escape, Naw Do Ghay, 60, Naw Dine Yee Soe, 50, and Mya Than Sein, 30, were unlawfully apprehended by the junta troops. The authoritarian junta forces also set fire to twelve civilian homes.
Subsequently, they also raided Nga Htway Su and Myat Ye Villages and established a presence on September 15. As a result, 1,534 civilians from Yay Le Karen and Yay Le Burma Villages, comprising 192 houses, have fled.
Another 70 civilians from Yan Myo Aung and Tamaw Ma Villages, with 12 houses, are also contending with flooding.
