MYANMAR – The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) has reported on October 1 that a total of 1,443 people were abducted and slaughtered by the terrorist junta army and its affiliated organizations throughout the country, after over two years of the bloody coup d’état in Myanmar.
It was said that the preparators committed the executions in prisons, interrogation centers, military barracks or outside of detention areas, and the victims were being tied with handcuffs and or ropes, while they were brutally butchered.
AAPP’s report shows that most of the deaths occurred in Sagaing Division, with more than 700 deaths.
As of 30 September 2023, the total death toll across the country, including those arrested and killed, has reached 4,131, according to AAPP’s statement.
Among them, 466 children and 613 women were killed.
Civilian deaths occurred in the Nay Pyi Taw council area, where the junta council is headquartered, and in all 14 states and divisions.
In addition, AAPP’s data shows that there are 19,286 people abducted nationwide for opposing the military coup.
