MAGWAY DIVISION – According to the locals, the fascist junta council troops abducted nine civilians who were working in a slaughterhouse in Sinbaungwe township, Magway division under the reason for the military conscription.
At around 8:30 p.m. on June 3, the junta council troops came to a slaughterhouse in Tharyarkone village, and abducted the workers in Ayekarit village tract, Sinbaungwe township.
A local mentioned that they abducted the civilians by surprise under the excuse that the ward administrative officers didn’t help to choose the recruits by drawing lot.
The locals continued that the fascist junta council troops from the no. 8 Defense Equipment factory came to the slaughterhouse by car and abducted the workers.
There were around 20 workers in the slaughterhouse while the junta council troops were coming to abduct. Among them, the junta council troops abducted the workers who are in their 25 and 30. The victims are not from Tharyarkone village. They are from the other villages in Sinbaungwe township and who came to work in Tharyarkone village.
On the night of June 5, the junta council troops released 2 out of 9 detainees; one person who is not in good health and one person with disability.
At the moment, they (the junta council troops) have currently detained seven victims in the no. 8 Defense Equipment factory.
Similarly, on the night of June 4, they also abducted at least two men from each village of Nyaungaing, Myo Hla, Htamakan, Theekone. Those villages are located in the eastern part of Aunglan township which is bordering with Sinbaungwe township.
