KACHIN STATE – Clashes intensified between KIA and the junta forces near Aung Ja Village, Moemauk Township, Myitkyina-Banmaw Road, on Monday (October 2) at around 6:40 a.m.
“The battles intensified at Aung Ja, and three fighter jets from Myitkyina carried out airstrikes,” said a Kachin Military Source.
The junta council carried out airstrikes at 8:40 a.m., 9:09 a.m., and 9:14 a.m., and the casualties couldn’t be confirmed.
The clashes frequently intensified at Aung Ja Region, and both sides exchanged artillery shells. Since the start of July, junta council soldiers launched an offensive in Kachin but suffered many casualties and recently carried out airstrikes.
