KACHIN STATE – It was reported that Kachin Independence Army (KIA) attacked and captured junta base in Nawng Si Paw Village of Waingmaw Township and also combated Infantry Battalion (58), according to a frontline news source.
KIA led Revolutionary Forces carried out offensive attacks on the junta base in Nawng Si Paw Village of Waingmaw Township, on the early morning of May 28, and captured the base, hours after the attack.
“Nawng Si Paw base capturing battle only took a few hours to acquire. The fight started in the early morning and penetrated the base, at around 8:30 a.m., and the Revolutionary Forces completely seized the base, at around 10:00 a.m.,” said a source.
In addition, since the night of May 28, KIA led Revolutionary Forces have been attacking junta’s Infantry Battalion (58), one of the garrisons of Waingmaw Town, and the fighting was still going on until on the morning of May 29.
“KIA led Revolutionary Forces attacked junta’s Infantry Battalion (58), at around 9:00 p.m., on May 28. The fight was going on, and it was unable to be acquired,” said a KIA news source.
In Kachin State, during the operations that started on March 7, over 100 military bases of the terrorist junta were captured by the Revolutionary Forces led by the KIA.
